Google Toolbar

September 17th, 2007

It’s been a while since I’ve made a post so I thought I would write something up bitching about the Google Toolbar.

In all its esseance it is a wonderful tool allowing for quick lookup of anything without having to navigate away from your current location. The tools including history and its array of options for Page Rank, adding removing buttons, etc are all extremely useful.

So Why do I find myself avoiding the install when I upgrade or install a new OS? Because I don’t like the fact that it leaves my last search term in there forever until I manually remove it. Its very annoying. Once a search has been executed from the toolbar, the next page I click on should remove the search term(s) with the ability to enable or disable it from the options.

Google Page Creator

March 28th, 2006

Google has a new Page Creator for creating webpages on the fly.

Google Page Creator is a free tool that lets you create web pages right in your browser and publish them to the web with one click. There’s no software to download and no web designer to hire. The pages you create are hosted on Google servers and are available at http://yourgmailusername.googlepages.com for the world to see.

Like most of Google’s pilot programs, you will need to give them your email address and wait until they call your number before you can try it. Still, looks like another bitchin’ tool from Google to make life a little easier on the technically challenged. Added below is another gratuitous screenshot.

I’ve decided to write this up for those looking to monetize their forums with adsense. There are a lot of great articles out there but I wanted to share my experiend with it on forums specifically. Keep in mind that even though this is geared towards vBulletin that the principals can be applied to any forum software. Much of this is subjective to your personal tastes, this is my experience and what has worked best for me. Your feedback and comments are welcome.
